I take it that if I want friends to loose weight, I should add faeces to their food?

Sounds like a plan!

When did I call you fat? You asked a question and I answered.

A. Who said it was directed towards you
B. If you got offended that should tell you something about yourself
C. I don't think you read my post clearly. If you read my post I said obesity is ONE of the factors, not always the case. I said it depends and there are other factors.

We should wait and see how the blue-tinted spectacles work in practice. Some scientists are testing a hypothesis which involves fatties wearing blue shades which allegedly dampens the appetite - because we've evolved to be repelled by whacky blue stuff we find in the wilderness due to its liklihood of being poisonous.

Blue shades are cool. Bleach of crap flavoured food isn't.

Hmmmm, i see a problem here, people say it's their own fault they are fat, well i am not obese but i got a bit to much on the stomach.

I eat healthy, excercise and all, yet i still gain weight.

I don't know what more i can do, i run 15km a day, i eat on "right" times. i eat healthy food. so what shall i do? not all can be told to "lose" weight, becaue some people can't no matter what they do.

Stop drinking. It's very fattening, if you didn't know.

Go on a trek, climb some nepalese mountains or something, that's what i did (even though i should be putting more weight on rather than losing it...)

start to decide what you want to eat.
don't just be consummer.
stop drinking beers/soda/alcohol at every(any) lunch
when you go watch tv, drink tea not beer.
when you are thirsty, drink water.

might be cliché, but... im sure most of obese/obese wannabe aren't following these rules.
my 2 cents.

I actually just eat whatever i want (lol), kinda annoys my dad since he's trying to lose weight.

I have no idea why it doesn't have any effect on me...

That's called metabolism. Some people have higher metabolisms than others.

I can eat whatever I want and stay in perfect shape. Other people can just think about eating and gain weight.

I kinda think our moods have a little bit to do with it too.. Like depression and stuff may play a role.

Well, my theory is that people want to eat because of the flavour of fried foods and such.

Just so you know, flavour is the combination of taste and smell. So what if you take the smell out of the flavour?

Let me tell you one time when I was 15 that my mom was cleaning the kitchen with bleach and I was hungry. So, I made some toast and ate it. The thing was that my toast tasted differently... It tasted like bleach, because the bleach was so strong and it felt like I was eating bleach. It made me not eat toast for a week. I also remember one time when I once smelled cold french fries and I didn't eat french fries for a month or two.

So, my theory is could it be possible to stop obesity by imposing a different smell to the fried goods?

If my theory is correct then we could solve eating disorders that relate to how much not to eat and how much we should eat.

Here is a good example, what if you were to smell sausages, hamburgers and steaks. Then add the smell of liver over all of that food. Would you eat more or less?
The biggest problem with your theory is that the reason smell is a big part of the taste of food is because your sense of smell is actually picking up microscopic particles of that food and "tasting" it using the same type of gland, just that the sense of smell isn't as powerful so things like perfume taste nasty though they smell nice. Ocular sensors and taste buds are very similar. Therefore, to change the smell of something you'd have to actually change the taste of that something. May as well not cook good food anymore.

Look, obesity is not your problem if you're not obese. If someone chooses to be obese, that's their choice, their problem. If you don't like MacDonald's, don't eat there. If you don't want to be fat, don't eat fatty foods. (I'm taking glandular and other health problems out of the equation here btw) If you don't like seeing obese people...don't look. It's not your job, your role, your responsibility to "fix" these peoples' eating habits, it's theirs. If they choose not to, fine by me. it's not Society's role to make everyone perfect.
